As part of the fourth-year education course at Deakin University, I am embarking on a professional journey, focusing on the Victorian Institute of Teaching’s Standards for Graduating Teachers. (Victorian Institute of Teaching, 2008) Alan Marshall, my Mentor Jan Parkes, and the rest of the unit team have provided some tasks and assistance to spark our journeys.
I have created this website to share details the
focus of each project, my plans of action, and reflections on my
results. My blog, Educating Erin, is designed to share my experiences and reflections as I
carry out my plan of action.
During the first part of the semester, I looked at using VELS in Unit Planning and Assessment
My second project focuses on defining and improving my Classroom Management Strategies
My third project is as yet undefined, but will be undertaken in conjunction with my next teaching rounds in semester 2.
